The aim with this session is to introduce the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and discuss how these can be used to support the teaching of global citizenship as part of Learning for Sustainability. The session will involve an introduction to the SDGs and explore ways for teachers to communicate them to varying ages by using both paper and film resources. Attendees will be given the opportunity to look at a broad range of material and discuss how these have been used in the classroom to create a base for pupils in understanding the SDGs as a spring board for future Global Learning.

Who are we?

Founded over 30 years ago as the Third World Centre, we became Aberdeen for a Fairer World in October 2014. The Montgomery Development Education Centre is our education department where we promote Learning for Sustainability through Global Citizenship Education, Children’s Rights and the Global Goals.
